Background
Description of the gaps in FP and MH postnatal care In Jordan, postpartum women—especially those from vulnerable communities—often face unmet needs in family planning and mental health care. MARIA was developed to respond to this gap through a community-informed, data-driven, and systems-oriented approach.

- Develop a framework to integrate FP and MH in postnatal care.
- Engage communities and providers to co-design solutions.
- Pilot and evaluate integrated care models.
- Promote gender-transformative and equitable care practices.
- Build research and implementation capacity among local researchers.
- Geographic Focus:
The project operates in Al-Mafraq Governorate and the Northern Jordan Valley (Irbid Governorate), covering four selected PHCs.
